
Pour Over

What you need
- Dripper + paper filter
- Gooseneck kettle
- Scale
- Burr grinder
Rinse the filter
Rinse the paper with hot water to wash out papery taste and warm the dripper. Discard the water.
Add grounds
Grind 25g medium and add to the filter. Give it a gentle shake to level the bed.
Bloom
Pour 50g of water at 205°F (96°C) to saturate the grounds. Wait 30 seconds while it degasses.
Pour in spirals
Pour slowly in steady spirals from the center out, keeping the water level even, until you reach 400g total.
Draw down
Let it finish dripping, about 3 minutes start to finish. A flat, even bed means a clean extraction.
