Our Story
The Streets Came First.

The streets came before the roastery. It started with meals, presence, and dignity for people most had learned to walk past, and it has carried on every year since.
The coffee followed, as a way to fund work that was already happening. Every bag we roast keeps that promise going.
- 2017
It starts on the street in Calgary: a cart, hot meals, and coffee for whoever is out that morning. The roastery follows, to fund the work rather than fundraise for it.
- 2019
A first trip to Nicaragua puts names to the farms: Diego Chavarria in Matagalpa, Byron Corrales at Los Pinos.
- Today
Growers we can name, and roasting in two cities.
Two cities
From Calgary to Winston-Salem.
Redemptive Coffee was built in Calgary, Alberta, under the name Kingdom Coffee, where our passion for exceptional coffee, direct relationships with farmers, and giving back to our community took root.
Now, that story is expanding to Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Two cities. One mission. The same commitment to great coffee, the farmers who grow it, and the communities we serve.
- Winston-Salem
- North Carolina
- Our newest home, and the beginning of Redemptive Coffee's next chapter in the United States.
- Calgary
- Alberta
- Where our coffee story began, and where years of roasting, relationships and community impact built the foundation for what comes next.
One mission. Two cities.
We go together
Not a phone call.
We travel to the farms that grow our coffee, families and all. The people behind every bag know us by name, and our kids know theirs.

Our farm partner
Blossom Creek Co-op
Santa Barbara, Honduras
Grown between 1200 and 1600 metres and cupped at 83. It's the single origin behind Rise: one co-op, named, with a gate we've walked through.
Taste RiseWhere the work happens
Rooted in Winston-Salem. Growing across America.
Redemptive Coffee is building its U.S. home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, while bringing purpose-driven, directly sourced coffee to communities across the country.

Be Part of the Story.
Since 2017 the story's still being written, and every bag adds to it: fair wages at origin, meals and dignity on the streets that raised us.
